From The Heart is a southern gospel group that has a unique sound and blend.
You see, we are an a cappella southern gospel group. The group was formed
in the later part of 2001. The group has been working hard on our second
project and we hope to have it out by the end of this year. Let me tell
you a little about From The Heart.
Daniel Smith is the newest addition to From The Heart.
All I can say is Wow! Daniel has a long history in Gospel music and yet he is so young.
He helps to teach 3 singing schools a year. One in Tennesee, one in California, and one in
Wichita Falls Texas. He is the high tenor of the group, but like Andy has a very versatile
voice and not only can he sing high but he has a beautiful lead voice as well. His knowledge
of music has been very helpful to the quartet. Daniel was born March 14, 1980. He has
been married for almost a year to his lovely and very supportive wife Becky. We look
forward to the help, expertise, and excitement that he brings to the group.
Andy Fancher is a multi talented singer, he has a strong lead
and has the unique voice that allows him to sing even the high tenor part at times.
This adds to the versatility of the group and helps to achieve a close blend with our a cappella
sound. He is from Arlington Texas, but now lives in Irving, Texas. He was born
on September 12, 1977. Once again I have known this young man all his life.
He also sang with the group Heart 2 Voice. I am so proud of this young man and the Christian
life he has lived. This young man has been exposed to gospel music his entire life
also, and comes from a long line of gospel singers. Andy is married to his wonderful
and supportive wife Lauren.
Johnny Watson sings baritone and is the old man in the group.
With his unique baritone voice and style it helps to complete the blend and sound of this
quartet. Born on July 23, 1953 he also has been around southern gospel music since
a child. He is originally from Dallas, Texas and now lives in Ada, Oklahoma.
He can remember as a child listening to the quartets such as the Inspirations, Florida Boys,
The Statesmen, The Cathedrals and many others. He sang with a group from the Dallas
area called B.A.S.I.C. from 1987 to 1995. The group won album of the year in 1992
at the Texas Gospel Music News Fan Awards with the album entitled (We Are Basic). He
is committed to living the Christian life and has the wonderful support and love of his
wife of 30 years, Lola.
Tyler Watson sings bass and his excitement for singing is shown in the
way he sings, and his natural ability, style and love for gospel music helps to complete
this quartet. I have never seen someone with such desire for singing southern gospel
music. He never stops singing it. From the moment he awakes till the moment
he goes to bed at night he is singing. He is originally from the Dallas area, but now
lives in Ada, Oklahoma. He was born on January 21, 1981 and lives and breathes
Southern Gospel music. He has a great bass voice especially to be as young as he is.
I am also so proud of his steadfastness and love for living the Christian life.
I have known this young man all his life too, you see he is my son. Oh and by the way:
He is single.
This makes up
From The Heart and we hope you will give us a listen and look for our next
project coming soon.
And remember to
always sing …From The Heart!
